Acceptance remarks on behalf of the grants were made by Warren Beatty (The Film Foundation), Jordana Brewster (Lollipop Theatre Network), Hugh Dancy (Outfest), Carla Gugino (Inner-City Arts), Rex Lee (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment), Eva Longoria Parker (National Association of Latino Independent Producers), Dylan McDermott (FilmAid International), Chris Pine (UCLA), Jason Reitman (Los Angeles Conservancy), Emmy Rossum (California Summer School for the Arts Foundation), Kerry Washington (Film Independent) and Evan Rachel Wood (CSU Northridge).
Berk introduced the officers Hans J. Spurkel (vice president), Meher Tatna (executive secretary), Jack Tewksbury (treasurer), Jorge Camara (board chairman), and board members Ali Sar, Ruben Nepales, Theo Kingma, Armando Gallo and Frances Schoenberger.
"Members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association always look forward to our annual summer luncheon," said Berk. "Not only do we celebrate the installation of the organization’s new officers and board members, we take pride in donating over $1,000,000 in charitable contributions to many outstanding film-related charities and educational institutions. We are fortunate that the success of the Golden Globes allows us to do so. Over the past 15 years, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Foundation has presented more than $10.5 million in financial grants to dozens of film schools and non-profit organizations."
